According to Ramesh, the plane went down almost immediately after he heard a loud noise. There were corpses all around him when he awoke. He ran until he was helped into an ambulance. Still unaccounted for is his brother, who was also on the aircraft.

The aircraft struck a medical college building. There were lots of staff and students inside. To survive, some leaped from windows. 269 people, including those on the ground, were killed in the crash. The precise number of victims is still being verified by officials.

Searching for Clues

The flight data recorder, sometimes referred to as the “black box,” has been recovered by experts. This will assist in determining the cause of the Air India Plane crash. A thorough investigation has been initiated by the Indian Civil Aviation Ministry. A high-level team is examining the actions of the pilot, the aircraft’s systems, and the airport controls.

Experts from the United States and Britain are also assisting. The aircraft manufacturer Boeing has dispatched a team to India. The cockpit data is being examined by GE Aerospace, the engine manufacturer. Leaders from the United States and Britain have offered assistance and expressed sadness.

Videos of the collision reveal an oddity. During takeoff, the landing gear remained in place. It should normally be up. This raised many questions. Experts also ask whether the slats and flaps were in the correct position. These components are essential for a successful takeoff.

Air India Plane Crash Leaves India in Shock

The crash shocked the nation. Since 2020, it has been India’s deadliest air disaster. The aircraft in question was a Boeing Dreamliner. The aircraft made its first flight in 2013 and Air India received it in 2014. There were two infants, eleven children, and 217 adults among the 242 passengers. Most of the passengers were Indian, but Britons, Portuguese, and a Canadian also boarded the flight.

Vijay Rupani, the former Gujarat chief minister, was also killed in the crash. The tragedy is “heartbreaking beyond words,” according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited the scene. His home state is Gujarat.

At hospitals, relatives of the deceased gathered. To identify loved ones, many had to provide DNA samples. By Friday, authorities had released only a handful of bodies. The majority of families are still waiting.

Following the crash, Ahmedabad Airport briefly closed but has since reopened with limited flights. Indian aviation authorities have issued new directives in response to the Air India flight crash. Authorities now require all of Air India’s Boeing aircraft to undergo additional safety inspections.

It will take time to conduct the investigation. However, India is currently grieving over one of its most devastating air disasters.
